Scrooge the Musical

Scrooge the Musical was performed by RAOST on 15th - 19th December 2009 at The Regal Theatre in Redruth.

Director: Trevor Hitchings
Musical Director: Alastair Taylor

Show Synopsis

What better way to enter into the spirit and wonder of Christmas than by watching ‘Scrooge the Musical’? Based on the Charles Dickens’ classic ‘A Christmas Carol’, it tells the story of the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge and how a visit from the ghost of his old business partner Jacob Marley, changes the course of Ebenezer's life.
Scrooge is visited by the spirits of Christmas, past, present and yet to come. Through them we see the story of his life unfold, from boyhood to his future and we wonder whether Scrooge will see the error of his ways before its too late!

This enchanting musical was performed by RAOST as a South West Premiere in 1999 and was well received. This production was as equally enthralling with the experienced and talented team of Trevor Hitchings as Director (who will reprise the role of Scrooge, 10 years after he originally portrayed the character with RAOST in 1999) and Alastair Taylor who again took on the role of the Musical Director for this show.
With musical numbers like, ‘Thank You Very Much’, ‘December the 25th’, and ‘I like Life’, this show guaranteed to put audiences in the festive mood and showed them the true meaning of Christmas.

God Bless Us Every One!!
