Show Synopsis

It’s American Independence Day July 4th, 1912 and the Train pulls into River City, Iowa. There alights con artiste Harold Hill (or Gregory to his friends) posing as a travelling salesman, Professor of Music and ready to con every Iowan man in River City out of their hard earned cash to enrol them into a fictitious boys band. After he has taken their money and before he delivers the goods he slips town, however that was the plan until he discovered through the towns Librarian/ music teacher, love!!

RAOST performed at the world famous Minack for Meredith Willson’s classic story The Music Man. With songs like ‘Seventy Six Trombones’, ‘Shipoopi’ and ‘Pick-a-little, Talk-a-little’ the audience was toe tapping, in contrast, they were also drying your eyes when hearing the enchanting ‘Lida Rose’, ‘Til There Was You’ and ‘Goodnight My Someone’ as the company who brought you ‘Titanic the Musical’, ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ and ‘The Scarlet Pimpernel’ brought this wonderful mid American tale to life.
